JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

SUMMARY:
Our Client is seeking a Junior Developer who will assist power the digital engine behind their fast moving fastener business.

POSITION INFO:
Education:

• Grade 12
• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or and equivalent degree from a recognised tertiary institution

• Programming experience in any of the following: C++, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Visual Basic
• Net and business objects would be advantageous
• Interest in Embedded Platform Development, Single Board Computers, Microcontrollers, Firmware Development, circuit boards and setting up electronic circuitry
• Exposure to ERP systems in a stock driven environment would be beneficial

• Develop business improvement software and electronics projects that increase the Company’s operational leverage. This meaning technology projects that help increase sales and/or decrease costs
• Develop, modify, and maintain SQL Views, stored procedures, and data base triggers
• Develop, modify, and maintain C++, Python, JavaScript and Visual Basic code
• Set up and maintain embedded platforms and microcontroller circuit boards
• Develop, control, and maintain business workflow utilising Laserfiche electronic document management systems and process automation
• Develop, control, and maintain the Laserfiche repositories.
• Develop, modify, maintain, and optimize SSRS reports
• Assist with troubleshooting, software, and operating system issues as and when required
• Test and document software
