JUNIOR SALES ASSISTANT - CAPE TOWN (Stikland)

Seeking a Junior Sales Assistant for dynamic and growing technical company situated in the Stikland, Cape Town area.

POSITION INFO:

Seeking a technically minded, motivated and reliable individual to join the team as a Junior Sales / Workshop Assistant / Driver/  This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong interest in industrial / technical products who would like to develop a career in technical sales and workshop support.

The role offers hands-on exposure to sales, logistics, and workshop operations.

Sales Support:

• Assist the Branch Manager with canvasing for new customers.
• Calling on dormant customers
• Provide basic technical information, product data, and selection assistance to customers.
• Follow up on quotations and assist with customer feedback and order tracking.
• Help maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.

Driving & Logistics:

• Collect and deliver spares, and related equipment to and from customers and suppliers.
• Ensure all company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate clearly with customers during collections and drop-offs.

Workshop Assistance:

• Assist with assembling, stripping, and preparing equipment for testing or dispatch.
• Support the workshop team with cleaning, inspection, and packing of equipment.
• Help maintain a neat, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Learn to identify components and understand basic repair procedures.

Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 8 or higher).
• Technically minded with a good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

Advantageous:

• Previous experience in a workshop, or technical sales environment.
• Basic knowledge of types, motors, or fluid-handling systems.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook).
