JUNIOR DEBTORS CLERK

The position will require 90% telephonic communication with the clients’ therefore excellent verbal communication and well-spoken is a must
Own Vehicle and valid driver’s license
Must have experience in debt collection and able to work independently and under pressure.
 
Must have good excel skills
 
Non smoker
 
Debtors:
Maintain debtor’s age analysis at 45 days or less – make contact with clients and follow up until payment is received.
Allocate payments on BPO.
Customer liaison on all levels – attend to debtors queries, request for documentation, etc.
Banking
Process new credit applications and opening new accounts once approved.
Ensure that monthly Statements are sent out by the 2nd of the following month.
Prepare debit order collection and submit to Manager four full working days before expected release on Business Banking.
Ensure that notes are captured on customer ledger every time contact is made.
Submit daily schedule on expected collections.
Meter Reading:
Prepare monthly Excel summary for select debtors. To be sent to debtors by 2nd of the following month.
Consumable Reps:
Commission
Check consumable sales rep commission claim against age analysis and reject any claim against unpaid invoices.
Send copy of adjusted commission claim to Sales Manager for authorisation, copy reps – by the 15th of the following month.
COD clients
Manage COD clients against daily requests from reps to increase limit in order to process invoice, then decrease once invoice has been done.
Credit Requests
Ensure that credit requests have been authorised and then process by the 25th of each month.
Audit:
Assist with audit preparation and supplying support documentation as requested by auditor.
Filing:
Keep all documents filed, as per filing system.
Archive files annually.
