JP 17983 - Health & Safety Officer-6 Month Contract

The Health and Safety officer is responsible for ensuring the workplace complies with health, safety, and environmental legislation. The role focuses on

• Ensure compliance with Occupational health & safety Act (OHS Act 85 of 1993)
• Conduct regular workplace inspections
• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses,
• Facilitate health and safety committee meetings
• Ensure proper PPE selection, issue, and compliance monitoring.
• Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement of the HSE management system.
