Issue Clerk (Bag Store & PPE)

SUMMARY:
Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

POSITION INFO:

Short Summary:

The main purpose of the position is to receive and issue all bags as needed for oil cake production and to issue the PPE clothing as and when needed as per stipulated procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Receive all packaging material that is needed for the Oil Cake Bulk Filling Plant.
• Maintain the correct procedure when credit need to be process as per the client request.
• Ensure all stock items are identifiable by means of the correct Pallet ID.
• Issue bags and wood pallets as per the requisition completed in full.
• Report and hand in the correct and completed documentation to the Warehouse Administrator.
• Issue PPE clothing as per procedure and timetable.
• Ensure that all documents regarding the issuing of PPE clothing are forwarded to the Workshop Store.
• Daily cycle counts of all items in the bag store.
• Weekly cycle counts of all the PPE clothing in store.
• Ensure that housekeeping of the area is kept on a standard for the monthly hygiene inspection.
• Responsible to check for pallets lying around on site and to report these to the Warehouse Manager.
• Ad Hoc tasks as per the instruction from the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Grade 12
• 1-year experience in a similar position and/ or role
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Need to be computer literate
• Valid Forklift License

• Must be able to work alone to achieve goals
• Must be able to work in a team when needed
• Extremely good time management
• Well presented, reliable and disciplined
