    The Role: Investment Portfolio Specialist,  Private Equity & Hedge Funds
    This role is ideal for an experienced investment professional with a strong analytical foundation and deep exposure to private equity, hedge funds, and portfolio oversight. You''ll support the full investment lifecycle from deal execution to fund reporting,  working closely with deal teams, portfolio companies, and investors. The position combines technical financial analysis with strategic engagement across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the origination, structuring, and execution of private equity transactions across various sectors.

    • Build, maintain, and interpret complex financial models for valuation and performance analysis.

    • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, market research, and competitive benchmarking.

    • Prepare investment committee reports, board materials, and investor updates.

    • Evaluate and monitor hedge fund structures, strategies, and risk-return performance.

    • Oversee portfolio monitoring, analytics, and reporting using tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct.

    • Manage fund administration, compliance, and regulatory reporting (ASISA, FSCA standards).

    • Liaise with investors, fund administrators, and advisory teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.

    • Contribute to fundraising, investor relations, and capital deployment strategies.

    About You

    • Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Economics, or Investments (Honours or CFA Level II+ preferred).

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio management, private equity, hedge funds, or asset management.

    • Proven ability to build and interpret financial models and valuation frameworks.

    • Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies and private capital structures.

    • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, or equivalent analytics tools.

    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical accuracy.

    • Skilled communicator, able to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.

    • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative investment environment.
