Inventory Clerk

SUMMARY:
One of Southern Africa’s leading importers and distributor of toys and games for more than 50 years is wanting you to keep the magic coming as their Inventory Clerk.

POSITION INFO:
EMPLOYMENT TYPE       :           PERMANENT

DUTIES:
Inventory:

• Master filing
• Amendments
• Maintenance of price list
• Stock receipts to return warehouse
• Stock movements, adjustments, receipting (intercompany and local)
• Various report generation and circulated daily and monthly

• applications for approvals 
• payment co-ordination
• quarterly levy declarations NRCS quarterly and payable twice a year for PT; PB; Intex & PI
• Apply for NRCS LOA renewals at least 2 months before certificate expires
• Request the EN71 test reports from the suppliers for every new order
• Collate test reports for customers on request & for African countries, Mauritius
• Completion of applications & arranging inspections for Kenya; Zimbabwe via SGS; Bureau Veritas & Intertek operations
• NRCS Audit

• Matric
• 5 years’ clerical experience
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Computer literate (Syspro or similar) - essential
• Highly numerate
• Attention to detail in structured accurate and organized manner
• Liaise telephonically / email in professional manner with service providers / suppliers
• Work in a team and also independently
• Able to use own initiative when required
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and experience in inventory, cost of sales, compliance and fix assets is required
• Background in accounting / administration and EFP system is desirable
