SUMMARY:
A JSE-listed, large enterprise is seeking a seasoned Internal Auditor to execute the annual audit plan endâtoâend. You will manage over 11 audits per year, partnering with a data analyst for deeper testing, engaging confidently with stakeholders, and producing clear, actionable reports. Minimal travel is expected (occasional conferences only). The organisation offers strong internal mobility, a supportive, peopleâfirst culture, and a stable, familyâfriendly environment.

POSITION INFO:

Execute audits per the approved plan: planning, fieldwork, control testing, and working papers
Produce clear findings and recommendations; draft reports and track remediation to closure
Manage a portfolio of 11–12 audits annually; meet milestones and deadlines
Partner with a data analyst to expand testing and deliver dataâdriven insights
Present findings and manage challenging stakeholders professionally and confidently
Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology, templates, and processes
Uphold internal audit standards, ethics, and corporate governance requirements
Minimal travel; attend conferences when required

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ audit experience (internal or external) with handsâon fieldwork
Strong time management; able to prioritise across multiple concurrent audits
Confident communicator—able to stand your ground and influence effectively
Stakeholder management and collaboration skills; teamâoriented mindset
Solid technical grounding in risk, controls, testing, and audit reporting
SAP exposure beneficial
Retail industry experience advantageous (not essential)
Must be Johannesburgâbased

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or Internal Auditing (Honours advantageous)
BTech candidates will be considered
Completed audit articles beneficial
