POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting or related qualification
• Relevant degree with completed articles
• 3–5 years' accounting experience within the service industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working across multiple brands or entities
• Advanced reporting and financial analysis skills
• Ability to prepare customised management reports
• Confidence presenting financial information at Executive Committee (EXCO) level
• Professional resilience and the ability to manage emotionally demanding situations
• High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the accounting process through to trial balance
• Preparing customised financial and management reports
• Supervising the recording of entries relating to assets, liabilities, and capital accounts
• Maintaining accurate audit documentation and supporting audit processes
• Analysing financial information and recommending appropriate financial actions
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls
• Supporting and coordinating accounting clerical staff activities
• Investigating and reconciling financial discrepancies
• Safeguarding financial information through strict adherence to internal controls
• Overseeing payments through verification of supporting documentation and authorisation processes
• Ensuring compliance with financial legislation and regulatory requirements
• Conducting trend and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all financial and organisational information
