Our client is looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join their Business Software Services team in Morningside, Sandton.

This role is suited to a technically capable Test Analyst who enjoys getting into the detail, identifying issues, working with users and development teams, and ensuring that solutions meet business requirements before release.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the full testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect identification, UAT and user engagement, while strengthening your exposure to technical testing environments.

Duties:

Develop detailed test cases and test plans based on business and user requirements
Perform functional, integration, system and UAT testing
Identify, analyse and document defects and programming errors
Verify fixes and conduct regression testing where required
Communicate test results, risks and findings to project stakeholders
Support and facilitate UAT processes
Train users and obtain UAT sign-off
Prepare training manuals and supporting documentation where required
Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective software solutions
Work within established IT and software development processes

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant degree, diploma or IT/software development qualification.
ISTQB or related Test Analysis qualification would be advantageous

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ relevant Test Analyst experience
Strong manual testing experience
SQL
Web API
JSON
SDLC
Boundary Analysis
Exposure to test automation practices and automation tools

Skills & Competencies:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
A persistent, quality-focused approach
