POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Intermediate-Senior Test Analyst - 8 month contract-Hybrid - SA citizens only

Location: Western Cape, City of Cape Town, Cape Town

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: IT and Internet

Secondary Industry: IT and Internet

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
• Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritisation activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing process

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Proven experience in software testing

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 4-7 years  in a test analyst role
• Experience with manual testing

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practises
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, Confluence, Xray)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in software testing
• Experience with performance and security testing

Working Conditions:
