Intermediate IT Engineer

UPG-IT (UP Goldman IT) provides support to IT companies in the Netherlands that are under pressure due to staff shortages and strong economic growth. What will you do?

As a UPG-IT team member you will be responsible for day-to-day monitoring of servers, services, backups and cloud environments. You will assist independently or in collaboration with solving 1st, 2nd and if you are up for it, also 3rd line support requests. Every now and then you help with the implementation of migrations to Microsoft 365 and you also help with the periodic maintenance of various IT environments. You work under the wing of, and, in close collaboration with your manager. Where the Dutch language is required, your manager will take care of communication, so you do not need to speak Dutch. When the team is not too busy with work, time will be set aside for self-study and you can choose to obtain Microsoft certifications.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Performing day-to-day operational tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Monitoring of all relevant servers and services.

• Generate and check various management and health reports

• Daily monitoring of backup reports

• Follow-through on all Incident tickets assigned and their resolution

• Participate in root cause analysis on incidents, helping to drive identification of preventative actions meant to ensure problems don’t recur, and delivering on the tasks within those actions

• Escalate issues in a timely fashion. Provide all relevant information, accurately entering information into trouble ticket database

• Managing/troubleshooting of Office365 portal, Exchange Online and other Cloud infrastructure.

• Managing/troubleshooting of clients PC (general issue and advanced investigation)

• Hardware, Patch management and Anti-Virus maintenance using RMM tools.

• Setup of client software, emails and troubleshoot issues thereof. Qualifications

• A qualification (certificate/degree/diploma) in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field • Advantageous to have either one of following certificates: MCSA/MCSE MS-100 MS-101 MS-500 AZ-104

Work experience and Knowledge:

- 3 years+ system administrator and IT engineering experience in a predominantly Microsoft environment, including but not limited to: Microsoft Exchange 2013+, Microsoft Windows Server 2012+, Windows Desktop support, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, RDS, PowerShell scripts, VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.

- 2+ Years working experience with Microsoft Cloud (MS365/Azure) - General knowledge of networking concepts - General user administration skills within AD domain
