SUMMARY:
Intermediate Accountant - R31 500p/m CTC - Hillcrest, Durban

POSITION INFO:

Established financial services entity is looking for a competent individual to join their team.

Main Purpose of Position:

To ensure:

• the accurate maintaining, balancing and recording of all client financial transactions for a portfolio of companies
• the accurate preparation of management accounts/annual financial statements for presentation to directors of various organizations;

Duties will not be limited to but will include:

• VAT
• Journals
• Management Accounts
• Payroll & statutory returns
• Bank recons
• Cashbook preparation
• Client liaison
• Year-end audit preparation
• Drafting of Annual financial statements
• Bookkeeping & admin functions

Minimum level of Education/ Qualifications Required:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Accounting qualification essential
• Articles advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience within an auditing/financial services entity
• Prior experience of Caseware and or Draftworx adv
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Technically competent, i.e. Bookkeeping knowledge.
• Knowledge of Pastel Accounting and Xero
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to adapt to different situations easily.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain good client relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure.
