Interior Designer - mid-level

An international architectural company has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Interior Designer with exceptional design glam to join their team based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Produce interior design and architecture services in line with required drawings and detailing for client
• Effective budget management for design projects, report and keep on top of cost estimates to feedback to client
• Meet pre-determined targets and deadlines
• Produce and review the site progress report, flagging any issues before they have financial implications
• Adhere and maintain company values and ethics at all times
• Manage and participate in internal and client meetings to provide feedback to the team
• Provide support and guidance in all stages of the project within the design and architectural teams
• Adhere to the execution of architectural and interior design drawing standards
• Identify and voice potential pitfalls and challenges in the design to the team

Requirements

• Relevant degree or qualification in interior design
• At least 3 to 5 years within an interior design role
• Proven and previous experience within a high-end hospitality related field specifically resorts, lodges etc
• Proven experience in project management
• Understand and able to work with procurement team as well as architectural team in terms of suppliers
• Ability to deal with clients and hold a conversation
