Our client is looking for an experienced and qualified Instrumentation Technician to support their operations
and ensure the reliability of their electrical systems and machinery. If you are a hands-on problem-solver

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of
electrical and instrumentation systems across the plant. This role plays a key part in ensuring
uninterrupted production, energy efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance on production machinery.
- Install, repair, and calibrate sensors, PLCs, drives, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns with minimal downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure plant efficiency.
- Assist with control system upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS ACT, company safety protocols and electrical standards
Qualifications
- N6 in Electrical Engineering preferable
- Trade Tested Electrician with an Instrumentation specialization (Red Seal preferred).
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB,
Delta, Mitsubishi, Schneider, B&R, Bosch Rexroth)
- Proficient in electrical fault-finding, panel wiring, and motor control systems
- Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and SCADA systems is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, and standby as operationally required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team
