POSITION INFO:
Our client, a contracting company seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Tube Fitter to join our team on a month-to-month contract basis at our Rosslyn, Pretoria site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Installation, modification, and maintenance of instrument tubing systems
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
• Installation of impulse lines, pneumatic tubing, and associated fittings
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and specifications
• Conducting pressure tests and inspections on completed tube installations
• Collaborating with instrumentation technicians and engineers on site
REQUIREMENTS:
• Recognised Trade Test Certificate as an Instrument Mechanician / Fitter or relevant qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in instrument tube fitting within an industrial environment
• Proficiency in working with various tubing materials (stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.)
• Knowledge of Swagelok or equivalent compression fittings
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Valid driver's licence advantageous
• Strong understanding of site safety, HSE compliance, and permit-to-work procedures
• Must be available to start at short notice
