Introduction

Our client requires the services of an Installation Technician in the Installations Department. This department is responsible for the effective installation of sophisticated electronic equipment into various types of vehicles.

The successful candidate will efficiently complete all tasks scheduled by the scheduling department according to set standards. Additionally, they will support the organization, departmental staff, other departments, and branches in various regions as required.

Candidates must be customer-service driven, able to work independently, and possess exceptional attention to detail. Professional presentation is essential for this role.

Job Description

• Perform installations of sophisticated electronic units into various vehicle types, including motorbikes, trucks, buses, and plant machinery.
• Ensure all installations meet the set quality standards.
• Conduct installations at customer-convenient locations.
• Communicate with customers regarding the installation process in a professional and courteous manner.
• Complete all documentation associated with installations accurately.
• Provide customer service according to established standards.
• Identify and request additional resources or support as needed to complete installations.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an auto electrician, motor mechanic, or in the installation of tracking devices, vehicle accessories, and vehicle alarms.
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• PSIRA Grade E registration
• National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanics (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license (held for at least 12 months)
• Computer literacy
• Strong communication and administrative skills
• Excellent fault-finding skills and techniques
