Infrastructure Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Steelpoort is looking for an experience X2 Infrastructure Administrator to be based at their Lion site with ad-hoc support to Thorncliffe when required. The ideal candidates must be a strong, well-rounded Infrastructure Administrator with good experience in desktop, server, and basic networking. Must have own reliable transport to travel to site.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications / Certifications and Experience Required:

• A+ / N+ (or equivalent experience)
• Microsoft Cisco certifications
• ITIL Foundation
• Strong, well-rounded IT technician (desktop, server, and basic networking)
• Able to work independently in a site-based environment
• Experience in industrial, mining, or smelter environments is advantageous

• End-user support (hardware, software, troubleshooting)
• Setup and maintenance of workstations and peripherals
• General IT support (printers, connectivity, issue resolution)
• Basic network support (patching, cabling checks, cabinet organisation)
• First-line server and network troubleshooting
• Supporting CCTV and Time & Attendance systems (basic checks and uptime)
• Maintaining comms rooms and ensuring infrastructure is operational
• Working with central IT teams for escalations
