SUMMARY:
Information Technology and Systems Auditor

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking a dynamic and experienced Information Technology Auditor or Information Systems auditor. Suitable candidates must be available immediately, willing to work in Namibia for the duration of the contract. it is a two (2) to three (3) months contract role.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Relevant qualification BCom Degree in Internal Auditing or B.Sc Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or equivalent
Minimum 3 to 7 Five years’ experience in IT or IS Audit
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will be advantageous
Knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
Strong analytical skills
Ability to build strong and effective relationships

Key responsibilities:

Conduct IT audit engagements for the full project life cycle from planning through to reporting
Execute IT Audit including: Technical Reviews Audits and general controls, application controls, etc
Execute the IT audit program to the required standards of the profession and based on industry best practice methodologies
Evaluate the effectiveness of controls over information systems and information security, document work performed, and report feasible recommendations to management where deficiencies are found
Identify risks and controls for business processes, technical infrastructure systems, networks, servers, databases, and key IT systems/applications development initiatives.
Develop new audit programmes based on the risks and controls identified
Ensure that all deficiencies identified during the audit are timeously communicated to management.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports
