SUMMARY:
Luxury Lodge in the Hoedspruit area is looking for an Inbound Travel Consultant / Reservationist to manage the entire travel booking process for clients, handling inquiries, creating itineraries and ensuring smooth travel arrangements.
The suitable candidate will have strong customer service, communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in travel software and a deep knowledge of local destinations and services.

Duties:
Client Interaction: Handling initial inquiries, understanding client needs and preferences, and providing expert travel advice.
Itinerary Planning: Designing customized travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities, often within the region
Booking and Reservations: Making travel and accommodation reservations using various booking systems and software.
Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel process, addressing any issues or concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Sales and Promotion: Promoting travel products, services and packages, including upselling travel insurance and other relevant offerings.
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Financial Management: Handling payments, deposits, and maintaining accurate client and financial records.
Problem Solving: Addressing any travel-related issues or emergencies that may arise during the client's trip.
Administrative Tasks: Maintaining client information, preparing reports, and staying up-to-date on travel industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal travel & tourism qualification
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a travel consultant within the luxury travel sector
Proven experience designing and selling bespoke travel programs across the region
Excellent communication and organisational skills, including multitasking under pressure
Strong computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Comprehensive knowledge of Southern Africa’s most exclusive lodges, regional logistics, and high-end guest expectations
A meticulous eye for detail, with the ability to manage complex itineraries independently and under pressure
Flexibility and availability to support the team during peak periods
Familiarity with industry systems like Tourplan and WETU (advantageous)
A genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and creating meaningful experiences
Willingness to participate in site inspections, supplier trainings, and fam trips
A customer-focused approach and the ability to meet tight deadlines
