Inbound Manager Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is based in Long Meadow on the East Rand.

The salary offered is R20,000.00 per month.

Why this job exists:

Responsible for all Workgroup inbound functions, that involves the accurate receiving and processing of stock received. 

Control:

  • Adherence to all SOPs and ISO standards, documents, and processes. 

  • Ensure that all administration is controlled and stored in a way which is both effective and functional for the business.

  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.

  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.

  • Responsible for accuracy and efficiency of all standard operating procedures

  • Define, set, and monitor stock flow models and integrate with other departments

  • Monitoring and approval of all departments Over Time.

  • Controls all receipt validation of stock to ensure the correct value, quantity and part information meets the delivery documentation and information entered into the warehouse management system.  

  • Controls the inbounding and hand-over of stock to ensure no stock losses are incurred in the inbound process. 

  • Minimize losses when stock is kitted. 

  • Adherence to all internal and external customer SLA’s and SOPs

  • To adhere to ISO 9001, and OHAS policies and processes.

  • PO outstanding PO report to be double checked.   Communicate with the Customer if they still QA the stock and if the stock is with Bradian, the stock must be received as per the agreed turnaround times. 

Reporting:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on TAT, and team performance.

  • Preparation and submission of all customer reporting as per customer SLA.

  • Provides stats and stock movement to manage and monitor all KPI’s/ SLA

  • Report on ALL deviations from WG standard labeling and packaging requirements.

  • Prepare and publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports on receiving’s performance, accuracy, and quality.  

  • Process and report all stock movements to customers.

Improvement:

  • Optimize the continuous availability and flow of stock on demand.

  • Lead follow up and resolve Supplier concerns.

  • Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures and sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.

  • Ensure continuous review and improvements of operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assess and monitor receiving’s processes.  

  • Develop and review monthly productivity standards of the material handling in receiving and kitting. 

  • Continuous updating of ISO documentation.

  • Minimizing stock losses and risk to the business 

  • Increase turnaround time in the department.  

Analysis:

  • Investigating of claims and missing report, submitted by customer

Operations:

  • Measure performance compliance and requirements as per customer SLAs.

  • Oversee all areas of operations within the inbound department.

  • Daily meetings with the team to set goals and review strategy.

  • Ongoing supplier communication to ensure trust, clarity, and quick responsiveness.

  • Ensures housekeeping as per business rules and regulations.

  • Executes and supports strategic plans as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

  • Works effectively with all levels of management and staff to ensure all service level agreements are met.

  • Oversee all areas of operations within the department

  • Ensure quality, accurate processing of customer orders 

  • Daily monitoring to ensure productivity objectives meet operation standards

  • Ensures that the physical inventory hand-over of stock and that these reflect 100% on the system and that it balances to delivery documentation.  

  • Provides planning to manage the physical deliveries.

  • Provides planning to optimally use and organize the warehouse receiving’s floor. 

  • Provides planning to ensure the timeous receipt of all deliveries to meet SLA requirements. 

  • Optimizes the flow of physical inventory into the warehouse based on SLA and customer requirements. 

  • Daily liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers regarding stock flow requirements. 

  • Packaging stock received onto the system as per the packaging pricing. Any issues to be reported ASAP

Staff:

  • Assisting with the execution of Employee Performance Management. Evaluating and setting objectives / goals for the team.

  • Delegation and work assignments for the Outbound team.

  • Development of all staff members in the department.

  • Continually conducting refresher training for all staff in the department on the warehouse system, SOPs, and processes.

  • Train, manage and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.

  • Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company''''s targets and objectives.

  • Planning, managing, and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse.

  • Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and outbound activities.

  • Provide and direct strategic goals and delegation to supervisors and clerks.

  • Measure and monitor team performance compliance and requirements as per customer SLAs

  • Daily meetings with team to set goals and review strategy

  • Analyze the skill set of existing staff, identify strengths and deficiencies, and develop plans to improve or replace personnel as appropriate. 

  • Provide development plans for improvement for individual and team growth including on-the-job training and health and safety requirements.

  • Execute Employee Performance Management. Evaluating and setting objectives / goals for the teams.

  • Ensure team works according to the priority list and if there is no priority list – FIFO

  • Able to motivate, lead and challenge the team daily to top performances
