New Opportunity at an Internationally recognised company within the Freight and Logistics sector. We specialize in placing professionals in the Freight and Courier sector and our clients are consistently looking for career driven candidates with analytical skills, and a stable work track record, my client is searching for a Senior Import Controller to join their team based in KZN

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role:

The successful candidate will ensure that all import documentations are checked before prior before distributed. Acknowledge indents and purchased orders received. Provide shipping instructions to overseas agents as per client’s instructions. Investigate and plan the most efficient route. Report on all operations issues concerns.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Matric or Diploma in Logistics.
Freight forwarding certificate or similar
5-8 years’ experience in Freight or shipping environment
Planning experience
Co-ordinate and monitoring of DAP/DDP/Project shipments
Surrender MB/L to shipping line/NVOCC
Receive original express HB/L
Communicate any changes to customers.
