IT Support Technician

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose Summary:
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all IT issues, whether hardware or software-related, and providing feedback within agreed timelines to the IT Manager and both internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues.
• Install and configure software, hardware, PCs, and laptops.
• Ensure systems are backed up and properly maintained.
• Document all tasks and duties performed.
• Provide remote management and support as needed.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including suppliers and ISPs.
• Offer first-line support for Frequently Asked Questions.
• Maintain and update the company website with product details and industry news.
• Develop and maintain the management reporting application.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
o Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (essential).
o IT-related degree/diploma (advantageous).Experience:
o Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of MS Server software and management.
o Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
o Understanding and management of Active Directory on MS Server.
o Experience with creating Users/Roles in a Domain environment.
o Knowledge of TCP/IP and IT infrastructures.
o Competence in PC/printer fault finding and resolution.
o Web development platform knowledge is a plus.
