IT Manager

SUMMARY:
Isithebe. Well established, stable manufacturing concern seeks hands on IT specialist to manage Information Systems for about 80 users including in-house applications, virtual machines, remote access, databases, e-mail, ERP system, Payroll, Cloud Computing Solutions, CCTV, Access Control, Time and Attendance and Antivirus systems.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications / Experience:

• IT Degree or Diploma
• N+ Networking Diploma
• A+ Hardware / Software certification
• MCP and / or MCSE preferred
• At least 5 years relevant IT practical experience 

Technical / Other requirements 

• Manage IT systems support technician and make sure IT tickets are resolved timeously.
• O365 Tenant Administration, with on prem Active Directory Sync.
• O365 SharePoint experience.
• SQL Server experience will be advantageous. Writing SQL queries, reporting etc.
• Networking experience including configuring switches, VLAN’s and Wireless AP’s.
• Syspro knowledge beneficial.
• Desktop hardware and software support.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 and upwards including AD, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, WSUS etc.
• Strong knowledge of Remote Desktop Server 2016.
• Strong knowledge of VMware 6.7 and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong knowledge of Server Hardware and SAN’s (DAS).
• Strong knowledge of IIS and web hosting.
• Understanding of .NET applications advantageous.
• Identify, evaluate and analyse manufacturing and business processes to create and implement efficient measurable solutions.
• Own vehicle with current driver’s license

Responsibilities:

• Install, manage, maintain & administer hardware, software and networks for all manufacturing locations and local office systems, including applications, data centres, servers and storage, PCs, fixed and mobile telecoms.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Plan, design, implement and manage projects
• Troubleshooting of IT infrastructure.
• Manage purchasing and maintenance functions of IT Department (Hardware, Software, Data, Communications, Services & Licensing).
• Manage and control user access levels and IT security on ERP, In House solutions, domains and network. 
• Monitor software, coordinate installations, upgrades or enhancements and participates in evaluations of new products and system upgrades.
• Maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases, system health check and event notification.
• Set Service License Agreement (SLA) criteria for expected service delivery pertaining to connectively as well as fixed and mobile communications as well as printing solutions.
• Hardware and software support, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintaining the Disaster Recovery Plan Procedures.
• Train and support employees on software and company procedures.
• Logging and managing supports calls
• Manage system backups and disaster recovery plan
• Manage Syspro administration and updates
• Write reports and business intelligence analytical reporting data queries.
• Ensure uninterrupted service delivery to ensure continuity of multiple environments.
