POSITION INFO:

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and driven IT Manager to lead and manage their IT operations in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure, systems, security, and development while supporting business objectives through technology-driven solutions.

Key Technical Skills & Experience

Programming & Development

• Proficient in C, C#, Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, React, and Vue.js
• Experience building scalable applications and enterprise-grade solutions

Database Management

• Strong SQL expertise, including entity-relationship modelling, cardinality, and performance optimisation

Networking

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Sophos
• Skilled in physical network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

Cloud Computing

• Experience with VM setup, deployment, and maintenance across cloud platforms
• Knowledge of cloud-native services and infrastructure management

Cybersecurity

• Solid understanding of security frameworks, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance standards

Data Analytics

• Ability to analyse complex datasets and produce actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making

ERP Systems & Integrations

• Experience with ERP implementation, customisation, and system integrations to improve business processes

Minimum requirements:

• Matric certificate (essential)
• Degree or qualification in Computer Science or a related field
• AI module or certification would be highly advantageous
• 2–3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within a corporate environment

Certifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• CompTIA (Network+, Security+, Cloud+)
• Certified Information Systems Professional (CISP)
• Cloud Computing Certification(s)
• Cybersecurity Certification(s)
