Internal Support Broker – Personal Lines
An Insurance company based in Woodstock, Cape Town is currently seeking an Internal Support Broker. An Internal Support Broker in the Short Term Insurance industry acts as the crucial liaison between external brokers (or clients), underwriting teams, and insurers, managing the daily administration of personal lines policies.

The internal support broker focuses on:

• Supporting the Account Executive (AE) who acts as the primary liaison between insurance brokerages/companies and their clients, responsible for managing, retaining, and growing a portfolio of accounts
• Providing thorough administration and support to a portfolio of 300 clients.

• Portfolio Management:Manage a designated portfolio of personal lines clients.
• Administrative Support:Handle all administration related to new business, endorsements, policy amendments, and cancellations.
• Renewals Process:Proactively manage policy renewals, which includes reviewing coverage, applying rate adjustments, and negotiating with insurers for the best terms.
• Underwriting & Quotations:Conduct risk assessments, calculate premiums, and obtain quotes from multiple insurers
• Broker/Client Liaison:Act as the primary point of contact for external brokers or direct clients regarding policy queries, coverage queries, and amendments.
• Compliance & Risk:Ensure all documentation (Records of Advice) is accurate, compliant, and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Retention:Implement retention strategies to maintain portfolio value, including handling premium complaints and managing cancellation
