INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN - WARTBURG, KWAZULU-NATAL
POSITION INFO:
RedCat Recruitment is seeking an INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN for a well-established, large concern, position based in the Wartburg area, Kwazulu-Natal.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Relevant qualification/s. Trade Tested N6/T3/S4 Instruments (Light Current).
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Person must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
3+ yrs post qualification Mechanical and Technical experience in Instrumentation Systems. Experience on DCS Systems (Siemens PCS7 is advantageous)!
Ensure technical requirements are comprehended and defined and, work programmes developed to maintain the reliability of the instrumentation system.
Oversee or prepare complex drawings and programming codes.
Provide the guidelines, advice and guidance and, participates in and/ or executes complex installation, fault finding, repair and calibration procedures to maintain the reliability of a complex an integrated instrumentation network and infrastructure.
Ensure specifications and standards are adhered to during the installation of new instrumentation systems or complex maintenance work.
Ensure faults and deviations are examined and options / alternatives evaluated prior to implementation with a view to minimising or eliminating repeated instrumentation errors and faults.
Check equipment and procedures to maintain reliability is applied and certifications are current and valid.
Ensure technical information and knowledge is made available to support planning and decision-making processes.
Accuracy of information is made available on the applications executed relating to instrumentation works.
Must be willing to work overtime and standby duties.
