POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for an ICT Administrator to join their ICT Department on a fixed-term contract. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing ICT administrative and technical support, maintaining ICT infrastructure, administering user access, supporting end users, and ensuring the efficient operation of ICT systems and services. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with ICT policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• NQF Level 5 ICT qualification in System Support, System Development, Support Services, or Information Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years'' relevant ICT experience.
• Advanced computer literacy across all Microsoft Office packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete ICT administrative tasks accurately while maintaining accurate records.
• Administer and maintain servers, client machines and end-user devices, including access control and surveillance systems.
• Administer user profiles and system/application access.
• Administer data usage and access in accordance with ICT policies.
• Draft meeting documentation, including agendas, minutes, meeting invitations, matters arising and resolutions.
• Administer and maintain the Local Area Network (LAN).
• Administer backup systems, backup procedures and patches.
• Maintain ICT files, including policies, contracts, asset movement, return forms and allocation forms.
• Assist with compiling monthly and quarterly ICT reports, including firewall, backup and antivirus reports.
• Organise and maintain the ICT filing system.
• Collate and organise information for the ICT Manager.
• Prepare administrative documentation, including forms, payment memos, procurement requests and motivation memorandums.
• Ensure documentation submitted to the ICT Manager meets the required quality standards.
• Maintain a dashboard of outstanding ICT issues.
• Configure workstations and peripherals in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Review user access and email distribution lists periodically.
• Reset user passwords and enforce password complexity requirements.
• Review and monitor user access privileges.
• Utilise and maintain the Service Desk Management System.
• Provide Service Desk support by resolving ICT incidents and problems.
• Provide remote access support to users.
• Perform additional ICT-related duties as delegated.
