Leading manufacturer of light and medium structural steel products has an opportunity for a experienced hydraulic Fitter/Technician in their steel plant

POSITION INFO:

Required Education

Technically Qualified as Hydraulic Arctician/Technician

Trade tested Fitter or similar

 Technical training; exposure to hydraulic equipment.

Required Experience

 Working experience of year’s 10 -15 in relevant field.

Job Description Summary/Objective.

 The hydraulic maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance of the hydraulic and pneumatic systems of machinery and equipment.

 Essential Functions are:-

Must have a knowledge of Hydraulic Pumps, Valves, Cylinders, Pipeline and fittings etc.

 1. Observe and listen to operating machinery to detect malfunctions.

 2. Inspect complete power pack and components to detect problems if any, damage and wear.

3. Must be able to read circuit diagram.

3. Read hydraulic and pneumatic equipment pressure gauges to detect abnormal oil pressure.

3. Replace worn or damaged hydraulic components and install new hydraulic components on new

     Machinery and equipment.

4. Disassemble hydraulic system to remove and replace defective parts.

 5. Perform routine maintenance.

 6. Disassemble defective pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps and lines and rebuild, repair or replace

     Components.

7. Inform immediate in-charge to Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for work

     Performed.

8. Maintain clean and orderly work area(s).

9. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
