Hydraulic Fitter

Minimum Competence & Experience Requirements

• Qualified Hydraulic Fitter.
• Sound product knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete repair schedules within agreed timeframes.
• Report operational challenges and actively participate in finding solutions.
• Conform to production standards relating to productivity, timekeeping, quality, and cost.
• Dismantle and assess incoming hydraulic units.
• Adhere to all company time and attendance procedures.

Specific Departmental Duties

• Ensure all build and assembly processes are performed according to technical specifications and standards.
• Conduct assessments in line with repair standards and document findings with photographs, particularly of damaged components.
• Ensure components and sub-assemblies are completed according to scheduled production times.
• Participate in the development and implementation of safe work procedures.
• Identify and report discrepancies in company documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), test procedures, and technical drawings.
• Attend and actively participate in daily start-up meetings covering safety, production, quality, and general operational matters.
• Ensure sub-assemblies are built to established quality and cost standards.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and a clean, safe work environment.
• Take ownership and accountability for all activities, workmanship, and performance within the Hydraulic Fitting Department.
