POSITION INFO:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Human Resources Practitioner to join a dynamic organisation within the food service and hospitality sector. This role is ideal for an HR generalist who enjoys partnering with operational management, driving people initiatives, and ensuring best-practice HR processes across multiple sites.

This role is based in Midrand.

Key Responsibilities: 
As the Human Resources Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

• Providing end-to-end HR support to operational management across multiple restaurant locations.
• Managing and mentoring the HR Administrator while ensuring all HR processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Supporting managers with employee relations, performance management, employee wellbeing, and organisational development initiatives.
• Coordinating recruitment, selection, onboarding, reference checks, and workforce planning.
• Conducting exit interviews and analysing turnover trends to improve employee retention.
• Advising management on Employment Equity, diversity, and transformation initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with labour legislation, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Representing the business in disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and appeal hearings, as well as CCMA matters.
• Providing guidance on poor performance, misconduct, incapacity, ill-health, and disability cases.
• Assisting with payroll input verification and resolving payroll-related discrepancies.
• Producing HR reports and analysing people data to identify trends and support business decision-making.
• Promoting a high-performance culture through KPI alignment, coaching, and performance management support.
• Advising on remuneration benchmarking and pay-related matters in line with legislation and industry standards.

• National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' operational Human Resources experience, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, retail, or multi-site environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA, and SDA.
• Experience handling disciplinary processes, grievances, CCMA matters, and performance management.
• Knowledge of HR systems, HR reporting, and HR analytics.
• Experience partnering with operational management and building strong stakeholder relationships.
