Human Resource Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. This role is responsible for ensuring HR processes are effectively managed, legally compliant, and delivered within required timeframes. The successful candidate will provide HR support to management and employees, supervise HR administration activities, and drive continuous improvement across all HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all HR operations and administrative processes.
• Supervise and support the HR Administrator through coaching, training, performance management, and work allocation.
• Manage the full recruitment and selection process, including advertising, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and employment documentation.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programmes.
• Support and administer performance management, probation reviews, and annual appraisals.
• Monitor attendance, absenteeism, leave management, and payroll-related HR submissions.
• Administer employee benefits and respond to employee benefit queries.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.
• Coordinate employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Manage employee transfers, promotions, salary changes, and contract amendments.
• Coordinate offboarding processes, including resignations, exit interviews, and asset returns.
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Lead HR projects, audits, process improvements, and HR system initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports and provide professional HR advice to management.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years'''''''' experience in a generalist HR role.
• Previous supervisory experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Experience in HR administration and payroll processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with HRIS systems will be advantageous.
