Housekeeping Supervisor

SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. They will lead a team of housekeeping staff and uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and presentation. Key responsibilities include:

1. Supervision and Training:

• Supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
• Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of duties.
• Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
• Address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly and effectively.
• Implement corrective actions and follow-up procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

1. Inventory and Supplies Management:

• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities and submit orders as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Minimize waste and control costs related to housekeeping operations.

1. Guest Satisfaction:

• Respond to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness or room conditions.
• Implement improvements based on guest feedback to enhance the guest experience.

1. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns.
• Provide training on safety protocols and procedures to housekeeping staff.

POSITION INFO:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
