SUMMARY:
Housekeeping Manager – Hospitality Environment
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping operations within the hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and across the property while leading and developing a high-performing housekeeping team.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

South African citizen
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a hospitality environment
Minimum 3 years’ managerial experience in housekeeping operations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work weekends, shifts, and public holidays as required

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Lead, supervise, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service standards
Oversee cleaning operations across the property, public areas, staff facilities, and support areas
Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
Conduct regular inspections to ensure luxury hospitality standards are maintained
Manage laundry operations and housekeeping resources effectively

Team Management

Recruit, train, and onboard housekeeping staff in line with company standards
Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews
Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate shift coverage

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and infection control standards
Maintain housekeeping records, stock controls, and equipment maintenance logs
Handle guest requests, complaints, and housekeeping-related concerns professionally and efficiently
