We're seeking a Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team and ensure our guest rooms, public areas, and linen services are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation. Key Responsibilities

Room & Public Area Cleaning
Ensure guest rooms and public spaces are cleaned to perfection, with all amenities in place before arrival. Maintain high attention to detail and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.

Linen Room Operations
Manage the cleanliness and order of the linen room. Count, check, and control all linen sent to and received from the laundry company, reporting any variances or defects to management. Handle guest laundry with care, following procedures and labels.

Store & Stock Control
Issue and replenish floor stock, maintain storeroom hygiene and security, monitor expiry dates and quality of guest items, and prepare daily and monthly stock reports. Ensure all chemicals and housekeeping equipment are in good condition and accounted for.

Guest Sensitivity & Service
Respect guest privacy, be attentive to requirements, and respond promptly to maintenance issues or special needs. Uphold professionalism, hygiene, and appearance standards at all times.

Operational Support
Assist colleagues whenever possible, follow safety regulations, and take on other housekeeping duties when required. Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per operational needs.

Requirements

• Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• Minimum 3 years' proven experience in a similar housekeeping role
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment use
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Professional appearance, discipline, and integrity
