Position: Hotel Receptionist (Opera Experience)
Location: Bantry Bay - Cape Town

The Role

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African ID
• Minimum 2 years’ hotel reception experience in medium or large hotel properties
• Opera PMS experience (essential)
• Strong communication skills — well spoken, clear, and professional
• Presentable with excellent grooming standards
• Computer literate (Opera PMS and Microsoft Office)
• Updated CV must be submitted

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement & Service Excellence: Welcome guests with warmth, proactively engage in the lobby, escort VIPs, and personalise every interaction
• Arrivals & Departures: Manage check-ins and check-outs, ensure billing accuracy, and coordinate luggage assistance
• Daily Operations: Handle emails, reports, credit checks, loyalty enrolments, adjustments, postings, and maintain an organised reception area
• Team Communication: Attend briefings, provide clear updates, liaise with Housekeeping and Porters, and ensure accurate shift handovers
• Shift Protocols: Follow break schedules, complete checklists, and hand over pending matters to ensure smooth operations
