Key Responsibilities:

Guest Reception & Seating

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant or dining venue
• Manage the waiting list and ensure efficient table seating based on reservations and walk-ins
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus
• Communicate estimated wait times in a polite and professional manner

Reservation Management

• Handle phone, online, and in-person reservation requests
• Update and maintain the reservation system accurately
• Confirm bookings and special requests (e.g. birthdays, dietary needs, large groups)
• Coordinate with the restaurant manager and service team for reservation planning

Customer Service

• Provide information about menu offerings, restaurant promotions, and hotel services
• Answer guest questions and respond to basic requests or complaints
• Ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout the guest’s dining experience
• Monitor guest satisfaction and inform servers or supervisors of special guest needs

Coordination with Restaurant Team

• Communicate effectively with waitstaff, bartenders, and kitchen staff
• Inform the service team of VIP guests or special arrangements
• Assist in maintaining a smooth flow of seating and service during peak times

Cleanliness & Presentation

• Keep the hostess stand and entrance area clean and organized
• Monitor dining room appearance and report any cleanliness or maintenance issues
• Ensure menus and promotional materials are clean and presentable
