POSITION INFO:

 HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC VEHICLE TECHNICIAN 

Our client, a leader in electric vehicles for modern South African fleets, is seeking an experienced High Voltage EV Technician to join their team!

•  Location: Menlyn, Pretoria
•  Salary: R360,000 - R480,000 per annum
•  Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
•  Start Date: ASAP

Essential Qualifications: 

•  Qualified Automotive Technician
•  High Voltage / EV certification (essential)
•  Minimum 8 years workshop experience
•  Valid driver''''''''''''''''s license and own transport

Essential Experience: 

•  Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
•  Experience with vehicle diagnostic software and tools
•  High-voltage system inspection and testing
•  Battery, inverter, and drivetrain system diagnostics
•  Electric vehicle servicing and repair

Key Responsibilities:

High Voltage & Technical Work: 

•  Diagnostics, servicing, and repair of electric vehicles
•  High-voltage system inspection, testing, and fault finding
•  Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
•  Battery, inverter, and drivetrain system diagnostics
•  Software updates and system calibrations

Technical Operations: 

•  Service planning and workshop job scheduling
•  Technical reporting and documentation
•  Warranty claim processing with OEM
•  Parts control, stock management, and ordering

Leadership & Process Improvement: 

•  Supervision of workshop staff and technicians
•  Technical mentorship and skills development
•  Implementation of improved service processes and standards
•  Support for new dealership and service network setup
