Health and Safety Officer (3 months contract)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

To perform the main health and safety duties in the workplace. They are responsible for ensuring that there is a safe working environment for employees and other relevant parties. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager.

Their responsibilities are:

Ensure safety file is always updated
Assists in carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance
Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action
Assists in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace
Establishment of workplace safety and health committees
Performing inspections, there is requirement to carry out prescribed routine industrial hygiene surveys
Identification to maintain, develop and continually improve the company’s existing integrated management for health and safety and environmental aspects of the business
Liaison with site and area managers, ensuring that housekeeping on site is compiled with interaction and specifications
Training of Safety Reps
