Location:  Ga Rankuwa, Gauteng

A multinational manufacturing concern of leather products has an opportunity available for a skilled Health, Safety, and Security Officer.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to:

• Assist the Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk and Quality Manager in managing the collective effort to meet the departmental objectives and relevant business goals.
• To continuously monitor the status of the Health, Safety and Risk management system.
• Carry out the day-to-day operations of SHERQ department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety, Risk and Environmental management by providing support.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the Automotive Supply Industry
• ISO 45001, ISO 31000, SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Completed Grade 12 certificate
• Certificates in HSS legislation (SAMTRAC, ISO 45001, OHSAct, Grade A-E security, etc)
• Excellent knowledge of HSE principles, OHSAct and HSE Management System
• Security training minimum Grade E
• Excellent knowledge of HSR principles
• Factual decision-making ability, advanced problem solving- and analytical skills. Excellent computer literacy MS Excel / Word and PowerPoint
