Head of Sail Training

A prestigious yacht club in Dar es Salaam is seeking an experienced Head of Sail Training to lead and grow its sailing development programs, training operations, and fleet management activities.
Reporting to the General Manager, this leadership role oversees a team of instructors and support staff, manages a fleet of 59 sailing vessels, and drives the delivery of high-quality sailing instruction, youth development initiatives, racing programs, operational excellence, and safety standards.
Key Requirements:
- Recognised Senior Sailing Instructor qualification (RYA, World Sailing, or equivalent)
- Current Powerboat Licence and Safety Certification
- Proven experience leading sailing training programmes and managing instructors
- Strong operational, leadership, organisational, and people management skills
- Experience coaching both adults and youth sailors
- Fluent English communication skills; Kiswahili and/or French advantageous
