Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle OR reliable transport
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial administration
- Knowledge of SARS regulations, VAT submissions, FICA compliance, and PAYE processes
- Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
- Basic understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time
- Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in full compliance with SARS regulations, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them promptly
- Ensure compliance with FICA legislation by maintaining proper documentation and conducting necessary verifications for clients and employees
- Manage payroll processes, including calculating salaries, overtime, and deductions, processing payments, and submitting PAYE and other statutory deductions accurately and on schedule
- Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and balanced
- Generate detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas for improvement
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing accurate supporting documentation and explanations as required
- Liaise with SARS and other relevant authorities regarding tax queries, compliance issues, and submissions
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of all financial and company information, adhering to professional and ethical standards
- Continuously review financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy within the half-day work schedule
Remuneration
R 10 000 - R 12 000 basic
Work hours
Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 12:00 OR 13:00
