HVAC Draughtsman

SUMMARY:
We are working with a leading company in the construction and engineering sector who are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Draughtsman to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a critical role in which the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and detailing HVAC systems including ducting, piping, and electrical services along with preparing drawings for both manufacture and installation. A strong eye for detail and a sound understanding of mechanical building services are essential.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality work with a consistent focus on customer satisfaction.
• Create accurate and detailed AutoCAD design drawings.
• Draft complete HVAC systems, including:
  
  • Air distribution calculations
  • Duct sizing and layout
  • Refrigerant and chilled water piping
  • Diffuser and grille sizing
• Maintain and manage project drawings and related documentation.
• Produce standard legends and technical notes for project drawings.
• Compile HVAC design documentation for on-site monitoring.
• Conduct heat load calculations and compile relevant design data.
• Design air conditioning and ventilation systems, ductwork layouts, and assist with equipment selection.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Grade 12 certificate or relevant technical qualification.
• Exposure to building services is required.
• Previous experience in the HVAC industry is advantageous.
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering is a strong advantage.
• A valid Code 08 driver’s license.
• Clear criminal and medical record, with ongoing compliance.
