Partner with internal & external stakeholders to support and improve service delivery and facilitate the required change initiatives.

Accountable to formulate partnerships in order to deliver value-added HR advisory services, across the employee value chain, aimed at facilitating growth and profitability achievements of 4Racing. Partner with internal & external stakeholders to support and improve service delivery and facilitate the required change initiatives. Also responsible for implementing HR policies, systems, processes, development programs, performance management, recognition & reward systems, career development and culture initiatives.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Talent Management
• Implements comprehensive recruitment, selection and placement processes in order to acquire the correct talent and skills required by 4Racing
• Implements effective onboarding and probation management processes for new recruits
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, career pathing and succession planning
• Implements and manage the overall Performance Management System throughout the business area and aligns performance contracts to operational plans and objectives
• Advises and guides line managers in the development of Individual Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans for all staff
• Facilitates performance counselling sessions to manage poor performance
• Advises and guides managers and employees on training and development plans
• Maintains the training evaluation system to measure the impact and quality of training received
• Compiles and maintains training records to inform accurate reporting
• Drives the implementation of employment equity (EE) in line with the approved EE plan
• Tracks, monitors and manages the recruitment plan to support the achievement of the approved objectives
• Conducts exit interviews and monitors and reports on identified exit trends across the subsidiary.
Liaise with managers & employees on HR related matters
• Translate the business strategy and provides input into the HR and People strategy;
• Identify training needs and create a developmental plans
• Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees;
• Consult regularly with management and provide guidance when appropriate;
• Develop and implement effective staffing, talent management and retention plans.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs, and solutions;
• Analyse data trends and metrics to inform business decisions;
• Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary
• Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention;
• Ensure HR regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees
HR Policies and Practices
• Create awareness & educate employees on HR practices, policies, products and services;
• Ensure management and implementation of effective HR policies, systems, processes and interventions;
• Ensure leadership and performance that is aligned with the 4Racing culture and value
• Conducts research and provides input into applicable HR policies, processes and procedures for the subsidiary in line with best practice, legislation and compliance
• Implements and monitors adherence to all HR policies and procedures
• Identifies HR risks, maintains the HR risk register and implements risk mitigation plans for the subsidiary
• Minimises or closes HR audit findings
• Compiles HR reports including legislative and statutory HR reporting
• Maintains accurate employee and training records
Performance Management
• Support company performance targets in line with the performance management system
• Educate management and staff on the system via workshops
• Ensures Job Profiles are in place and updated when required.
HR Compliance and Reports
• Ensure adherence and stay updated on changes in labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices, providing training and recommendations to management as needed.
• Provide EE stats analysis to all Gambling Boards monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually
• Provide EE stats reports to Stats SA
• Assist with all annual audit reports
• Provide reports as and when required
Employee Benefits and Administration, Communication, Stakeholder management
• Perform and ensure HR Creditors Payments are processed.
• Maintain ESS System approvals via SAGE
• Support HR initiatives and employee communication
• Assist with general HR administrative duties
• Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, minute taking, and organizing HR-related events
• Provide general support to the HRM and Management team
• Assist and resolve queries, concerns, and ensuring timely responses working towards fostering a positive work culture and employee morale.
HR Advisory Services
• Provides authoritative and specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers
• Maintains effective relationships with all key internal and external customers and service providers by initiating and maintaining regular communication, feedback and support
• Monitors internal and external service level agreements (SLA’s) in order to meet or exceed client expectations and makes recommendations for amendments to SLA’s
• Provides direction and guidance to employees and line managers to ensure correct implementation and maintenance of sound human resource policies and practices
• Advises line managers in the planning and implementation of human resource and manpower planning goals
• Monitors HR risks and makes recommendations and / or adjustments to address identified gaps
• Assists line managers and employees in the development and review of job profiles
• Advises Managers in the development and implementation of outputs / objectives, measures and standards on performance contracts
• Implements, promotes and monitors the successful implementation of the Employee Wellness Programme (EWP)
• Identifies and recommends employee participation on the EWP
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Degree /Postgraduate Qualification in HR / Industrial Psychology
• +5 years’ experience in Human Resources
• +2 years’ supervisory experience
• MIE Background check

• Develop and adjust strategic or other long term plans to accommodate changing conditions or circumstances.
