Currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager who will be overseeing all tax-related activities across South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the position:
Currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager who will be overseeing all tax-related activities across South Africa. Ideal candidate with at least 3 years'' experience in a tax function within a large multinational organization or consultancy firm, along with a proven ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment. In this role, you''ll ensure compliance with South African tax regulations, manage tax risk, and help shape tax planning strategy and process improvements.

Key responsibilities:
1. Support the preparation, review, and filing of corporate income tax, value added tax and withholding tax returns.
2. Interpret tax policies and practices in related domains and provide suggestions.
3. Provide tax compliance solutions for new business scenarios and changes to tax policies and accounting solutions.
4.Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
5. Respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
6. Support the preparation, review, and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax returns.
7. SARS dispute resolution.
8. Preparation of Normal and deferred income tax computations

Other Competencies/Attributes:
-  Team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to support and work closely with the tax team and other business teams.
-    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to explain complex tax concepts.
- Willingness to stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Required Education / Qualifications:
-       3 to 5 years of tax experience is required.
-       BCom degree is essential.
-       Post graduate in tax is preferred but not mandatory.
