SUMMARY:
To facilitate and optimise the HR processes and to ensure the improvement o relationship between stakeholders in order to meet organisational objectives.

POSITION INFO:

  • Min National Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Human Resource Management or
  • Industrial Psychology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment/Automotive environment
  • Experience in working with integrated HR information systems (people development, succession management,)
  • Oversee and control elements of HR payroll system as deemed relevant in conjunction with plant Finance dept & service providers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)
  • Labour Relations Act, with respective Collective Agreements and Bargaining Councils 
  • (MIBCO)  MIBCO Main Agreement
  • CCMA
  • BBBEE Legislation
  • IR, Payroll & Recruitment in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of HR Legislation & MIBCO Main Agreement
  • HR information systems (preferably SAGE & SACO T&A)
HR Legislation
  • Comply with the relevant HR Legislation as well as Company Policies and Procedures
  • (Labour Relations Act, EE Act, BBBEE Act, Skills Development Act etc)
  • Translate legislative changes into relevant HR policies, procedures and practices

HR Management Control

  • Apply, develop and update HR Policies, Procedures, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, in accordance with company policies and local law, etc. as well as benchmark to global standards of Group.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of HR Policies and Procedures
  • Review/Update and maintain all employment contracts in line with local labour law.
  • Facilitate external IR processes (CCMA, Labour Court, etc).
  • Monitor and advise on substantive conditions of employment and related rights and obligations.
  • Monitor the IR climate and advise line management on appropriate actions.
  • Represent management in consultations and discussions with stakeholders on matters that arise at plant level.
  • Ensures compliance to HR related regulations and company policies
  • Cooperates/negotiates with external stakeholders (e.g., for work permits or labour processes)
  • Co-ordinate and provide advice to all stakeholders on disciplinary proceedings.
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee disputes, grievances and conflict.
  • Leads negotiations between legal unit and labour unions.
  • Implements local personnel regulations (e.g., for work time, conditions of employment, HR Handbook)
  • Supports all managers on site with regards to HR topics in line with local employment acts & regulations.
  • Delivers and tracks HR KPIs
  • Responsible for Corporate communication activities and facilitation within local legal unit.

Training and Development

  • Trains and embeds Group strategy and values in local culture
  • Supports people development within the organization
  • Implements and maintains Group standards for people development (performance management, succession management and talent management)
  • Oversee and support local Social Engagement programs in line with compliance regulations.
  • Organize & maintain all local training needs according to Autoneum Group Training Directive.

BBBEE Transformation /Employment Equity

  • Improve and continuously drive development & champion Broad Based Black Economic
  • Empowerment objectives with support from local management and KAD HO within the
  • legal unit.
  • Support and Oversee local employment equity, social and labour plans in line with local
  • requirements by acting in support to KAD HO strategic plans.
  • Drive interventions and action plans to support the implementation of the EE Strategy in accordance with KAD HO.
  • Champion the implementation and ensure compliance to the EE strategy at plant level

HR Systems

Payroll:

  • Lead & oversee outsourced payroll, draw required reports and ensure compliance with Group Payroll guideline.

HR Information Systems:

  • Set up and effectively maintain and administer HR Information Systems (Success Factors
  • (TouchPoint), VIP, Psiber, T&A, HR Intranet)

Time and Attendance Maintenance:

  • Verify effective management of the T&A system with the supervisors
  • Monitor and Report on Absenteeism and Leave using the time and attendance system and the payroll system
  • Record and report any Time and Attendance non-conformances, as and when they occur

Reward & Remuneration:

  • Co-ordinate with support from external audit firm annual audits on the salaried payrolls to ensure compliance to legislation and company procedures as well as ISAE3402
  • requirements.
  • Perform yearly salary review in accordance with Group process and
  • standards
  • Ensure compliance with Autoneum and KAP Feltex compensation regulations

Monthly Statutory Payments

  • Monthly HR update as part of monthly management/OC reporting
