Opportunity to join an established Investment team in Durban as an HR Consultant. This role has a strong focus on L&D. With additional Generalist support to the Head of HR.
This is an employment equity designated position.
The role would suit a person with a tertiary degree in HR, at least 5 years' experience in a Generalist role with knowledge of, and passion for, Learning & Development. You should have a good understanding of SA Labour Laws, track record of designing and implementing development programs and have experience as a Skills Development Facilitator.
The purpose of this role is to provide HR support to the business through managing the employee life cycle, providing efficiencies and promoting a culture of continuous learning and development (identification, development and retention of employees).
Key responsibilities include:
- Learning and development:
- Work with managers to identify learning and development needs
- Identify sources and implement learning programs
- Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the programs
- Develop a learning model and matrix for the business
- Monitor quality of delivery of learning programs
- Assess the impact of learning on the business
- Ensure mandatory legislative training is completed
- Support management and line managers with coaching and mentoring
- Drive performance management process and identify development opportunities for individuals
- Responsible for skills development reporting and process management – with respect to BBBEE, EEA and FASSET
- Generalist support:
- Manage the onboarding process of new employees to create a seamless and professional experience
- Manage the employment equity compliance and reporting, and provide input on EE strategy
- Provide support with payroll and employee benefits
- Responsible for offboarding of employees
- Assist with Talent Management and support succession planning
- Provide input into the people strategy for the business
- Provide input into the organisation structure and roles to enhance the structure.
