SUMMARY:
HR Assistant required to provide general support to the HR team and assist with day-to-day running of the department. To oversee HR processes and ensure that employee records are correct and up to date.

POSITION INFO:

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing recruitment/ new starter processes including, issuing offer letters and contracts and undertaking background checks.
  • Guiding applicants and hiring managers on the recruitment process
  • Managing leaver processes, including acknowledgement of resignations and completion of exit interviews
  • Monitor staff probation periods and assist in issuing relevant paperwork
  • Monitor the appraisal process, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage the Company’s DSE equipment assessments
  • Monitor and manage the Company’s annual driving license checks
  • Ensuring employee documents are logged and stored correctly
  • Minute taking, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance
  • Monitor sickness and absence, ensuring that return to work and self-certification forms are complete and uploaded to the HR system.
  • Facilitate the organisation and issue of staff anniversary gifts and cards
  • Updating HR systems as required
  • Responding to reference requests for previous employees
  • To undertake other tasks as agreed with the wider HR Team
  • To maintain close and effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to communicate complex, sensitive and contentious information.
  • Respond to internal requests and queries in a timely fashion
  • Seek support and escalate non-compliance where appropriate
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes, procedures and systems
  • Delivering a service in a highly proficient and professional manner with highest levels or quality and attention to detail
  • Daily use of IT applications and systems
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, legislation and codes of practice
  • General HR administration tasks as required
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as required
