SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance sector requires an HR Administrator, Bedfordview

POSITION INFO:

Salary: R15 – 20K, permanent role

 

Overview of the role:

HR Administrator responsibilities include processing and administrating employee data, assisting in the employee life cycle process and to be successful in this role, should have solid organizational skills, excellent understanding of labour legislation and be familiar with the various HR functions.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining physical and digital personnel records and information.
  • Update internal databases, calendars, and registers with new hire information. (E.g., Disciplinary Registers, Probation Calendar, Maternity Leave, CCMA Calendar and Status, Contract Date Renewals)
  • Ensuring staff are enrolled under all compulsory benefits (Funeral / Disability and Life cover)
  • Gather and confirm payroll data. (E.g., change in banking account, maternity documents, total leave days)
  • Administration and maintenance of the complete employee life cycle – onboarding to exit.
  • Setup induction training and development schedules as per various department managers availability.
  • Drafting appointment letters for signature, organizing hire packs for new employee, and liaising with identified new employee before start-date.
  • Monthly and ad-hoc HR information as required by the HR Manager
  • Data collection and the preparation of various reports (E.g., headcount, leave balances, loans, absenteeism)

  • Handle general queries for employees.

 

Requirements

  • 3 years working experience in an HR or IR environment
  • Good knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDL
  • Be able to deal with confidential matters with integrity.
  • Excellent Organizational and Administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Higher Education in Human Resources Management or relevant field
  • Sage 300 / VIP will be an added advantage.
