Guiding in a Jungle, intimate guiding experience for the guests. Work 3 months on 1 month off
POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Guide for Back-Up or Full Trails
Location:
This position is based in Democratic Republic of Congo.
Job Type:
This is a permanent position, working 3 months on 1 month off.
Primary Industry:
Full time Guiding guests from 4 - 14 night stay moving from camp to camp with the guests.
Secondary Industry:
Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality.
Job Duties:
- Leading guests on walks, boating, kayaking and Game Drives in the jungle.
- Interpreting what is being seen and discovering untouched Jungle.
- Assisting with logistics and coordination of trail activities.
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the journey.
- Handling any issues or emergencies that may arise during the trails.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid first aid certification.
- Excellent communication (French is advantagous however not a must) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of walking safaris and outdoor activities.
Education:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
FGASA level 1,2 or 3 will be accepted. Back-up or full trails is a must
Experience:
Prior experience in guiding is a must.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and protocols.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in outdoor leadership or related field.
- Experience in customer service roles within the travel and tourism industry.
Working Conditions:
The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require physical exertion.
